About us:
God – Family - Duty – Honor - Country. We proudly embrace traditional American Conservative values.
LibNOT.com is owned and operated by people that have long been uncomfortable with the radical fringe elements of any political point of view. Most disturbing to those of us at libNOT.com is the knowledge that over the last third of the 20th Century, the term “liberal” has morphed and is most often associated with the progressive, left-wing extremist ideology of the Democrat Party. Our focus on these pages, though, is mostly the negativity associated with the secular liberal-progressive cause(s) and how it affects America’s liberty and its citizens in general.
LibNOT.com does not hate anyone, except perhaps; Stalin, Hitler, Castro, Pol Pot, Osama bin Laden, Ahmadinejad and others that have murdered many and/or have the potential to cause suffering and death to many more….the list, unfortunately is (too) long. So while libNOT.com does not agree with the majority of what liberal-progressives have to say – we’ll politely listen , smile, shake our heads and shrug our shoulders wondering how they can believe what they believe.
LibNOT.com, like many in our country today have become disillusioned with most of our political leaders (on both sides of the aisle) on some of the most important topics of the day, which will be left for discussion within the pages of libNOT.com. “Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!” Admiral Farragut’s famous exclamation during the battle of Mobile Bay in 1864 should be analogous with the political spirit of our elected officials, but sadly it is not. Only a few Senators and a handful in Congress have any real strength of character. LibNOT.com wonders, why?
Our hope is that intelligent respectful political discourse will reign supreme at libNOT.com. But folks, we don’t want to be the typical boring political blog, going blah, blah, blah about politics only. We’ll lighten things up every now and then with some humor, funny and cute videos, political cartoons, jokes (clean only), health and nutrition, reports about our incredible military and whatever else strikes our fancy. Join in, whether you agree with us, our contributors, and occasional visitors or not. Offer suggestions - we may, or may not listen, but we’ll always read what you have to say.
Who are we, really?
The creators of libNOT.com have a wide and varied list of life’s experiences: combat (disabled) Viet Nam Veteran, retired law enforcement, information technology and communications systems, Internet marketing, web development, finance. We love an ice cold beer on a hot day, a glass of red to relax and enjoy beautiful weather, or even a glass of Gentleman Jack with a great cigar. Our family is everything to us and our real friends mean as much to us as family. Please note: we are not accomplished writers and will undoubtedly make the usual punctuation and grammatical errors. We hope to make our lack of skills more or less invisible by wearing our hearts on our sleeves and providing the reader with a sense of real, unequivocal passion.
LibNOT_Sr is the proud father of five great Americans - three are in the US Army (two Special Forces, NCO’s).
Eternal optimist’s, we love our country and know that when the time comes and the chips are down, Americans do the right thing.
Finally….our men women in uniform.
While we do live in a democratic society and libNOT.com has previously defended your right to say what you like elsewhere, don’t even think of disparaging, insulting, spitting at, defiling or accusing our Military of anything less than honorable actions or intentions….just don’t do it here, or in libNOT.com’s presence if you don’t to walk with a limp for the rest of your life. Certain members of Congress have already made their feelings known. Does anyone remember the words of Congressman Murtha (RIP), Senator Kerry and others?
Thank you for visiting www.libNOT.com .
