Japanese Revisionists Re-write WWII History - The Japanese Way

Japan Wants To Rewrite World War II

Jim Dunnigan’s, The Strategy Page once again presents the American people with a clear and concise article on past and current events. In this case it’s the revisionist’s changing the facts of the animalistic behavior of the Japanese Empire during WWII. The fact that the Obama Administration decided that for the very first time in our history they would send a representative to a memorial service commemorating the use of an atomic weapon and the resulting loss of life on August 6, 1945 at Hiroshima shows the irresponsibility of our President and his administration. It did make him feel good, though….and many Americans could care less or they are at the very least, disinterested. The exception, of course, a few remaining WWII vets that fought against the Japanese or were POW’s and historians that are acutely aware of early to mid 20th century history.

Dunnigan’s essay is short, to the point and spares no prisoners, much like the behavior of the Japanese soldier during the war. There are many good quotes that can be used herein to create reader interest, but suffice it to say….every single word posted in this article is worth posting on libNOT and elsewhere.

For instance, from the article in the Strategy Page entitled, Japan Wants To Rewrite World War II is the paragraph:

What was not so secret were Japanese efforts to ignore the war and portray themselves as victims. Many Japanese opposed rewriting history, which was often quite blatant. This meddling with historical facts regularly caused problems with neighbors, especially China. But the Japanese were insistent on evading responsibility. They still are, and many Japanese really believe it.

The fact that, “Japanese efforts to ignore the war and portray themselves as victims” seems to be written especially for our current, “lets do it if it makes us feel good” - administration. History be damned.

You must read this article by clicking here. It’s a great reminder of how bad the Japanese actually were.

Neither Dunnigan (I believe), or I are anti-Japan……….they are a wonderful people and one of our strongest allies, BUT, to revise the history of some of the most horrific events of WWII would be inexcusable if we didn’t at least remind the reader just how bad things really were during the sad chapter in history. Read Dunnigan’s article to know the truth.

In my view……….revisionist history = extreme embarrassment.

Japan should not be revising history but lets not forget Ex Confederates have still not given up their loyalty to the old Southern Legacy of Slavery so is it really surprising that their are still some Japanese who do the same for WW2.

its not a "legacy to slavery" ya
idjit, the Civil War was fought over a state's rights and fair and equal
treatment financially. Slavery was not part of the issue
until August of 1863, OVER a year after the commencements of hostility.
It was a STRATEGIC decision by Lincoln and the Dept. of War, its equivalent
today would be to disrupt a fuel supply to a foreign country. Slavery had very
little to do with the actual war. It was part political and part a strategic
    move.
