The youngsters were off from school on the day of the patrol, (Friday) and thronged the patrol route, many with hands in the air, coaxing the passing Soldiers to interaction.

Surtees was in Kandahar City to check on the status of 10 solar panelled light units which had recently installed in Northwest District 3. After gathering information from the local populus, the patrol rounded a corner and scouted perspective sites for future solar unit installation.
