Operation Moshtarak Video Released 27 Feb. Estonian, Afghan and British Soldiers

Part One - “Operation Moshtarak” about Estonian, Afghan and British soldiers preparing for the start of Operation Moshtarak in Helmand province, Afghanistan. The three part series on Operation Moshtarak (‘together’ in Dari) gives an inside look at one of ISAF’s biggest counter-insurgency operations since the fall of the Taliban. Video Journalist Josh Fortune revisits the village of Nad Ali in Central Helmand where he had embedded with Estonian forces one year ago. This area had been controlled by Taliban militants and drug traffickers. One year later, Fortune embeds with Afghan, British and Estonian soldiers for Operation Moshtarak and captures the preparation, the launch and the actual operation in progress. He witnesses noticeable improvements in the area and sees Afghan troops taking a lead role on the ground. Produced by Josh Fortune.

Scenes include various service members getting ready for the operation and interviews as well as the Afghan soldiers speaking with locals.
