Cmdr. Leonard Remias, left, commander of Provincial Reconstruction Team-Kunar, reads the promotion orders for Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Darsean M. Sharpe to petty officer 2nd class. Sharpe, a native of Atlanta, earned a combat promotion for his outstanding support to the Provincial Reconstruction Team while under austere conditions and hostile fire. Sharpe competed for two quotas against all eligible U.S. Naval Forces Central Command Sailors for a Combat Meritorious Advancement Program promotion to the grade of E-5.
