Mr Obama,

I watched your Health-Care speech last night:

- You state that your plan will not cost a dime. Yet the Government cannot manage a used-car program, provide medical care for our veterans and has bankrupted Social Security. Please tell me, why I should believe you?

- You reference cable television, talk radio and opposing officials for misrepresenting your plan. Many still consider free speech, open discussion and community organizing as part of the first amendment.

- You blamed the previous administration for the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan: As the Commander and Chief, you sir, have the power to end these wars with one phone call. Instead, you choose to blame Bush.

- You attempted to tie our current financial crisis to the rising cost of health-care. Forgive me, sir, but I do not see the connection. Can you please explain how passing your legislation will resolve un-employment?

- You threw the current health-care industry under the bus: I have friends and family that give every ounce of their being to help the sick and injured every day. You insist that profit is their only motivation.

- You say that no illegal immigrants will be covered under your plan. These freeloaders are covered now, able to visit any emergency room of their choosing – free of charge. How will this change again?

- You cite the previous administration and their irresponsibility for the deficit: As the leader of the United States, you have doubled this deficit in less than 6 months. Mr President, when will you take responsibility?

- You insist on a public, Government-run option. Sir, how long do you think it will take private companies to dump those of us currently insured for this option? Why would employers continue to pay for our coverage?

- You will mandate a cap on medical premiums and associated expenses, yet insist that the insurance companies will cover everyone regardless of condition. Please explain how my medial insurer will stay in business.

- You demanded that our representatives pass this legislation quickly without having a chance to read the lengthy bill. Please explain why it too so long for you to explain your position in detail.

- You stated that your action as President (the stimulus) has saved our economy. Yet unemployment has hit the highest rate in 50 years and you have doubled our national debt. Can I print my own money too?

- You insist on passing this legislation despite the overwhelming majority of Americans opposing it. Please explain why you feel this mandate is necessary despite the wishes of the American people.

In closing, I sincerely believe that you are a gifted orator. However, you lack the experience, vision and substance to lead our country. I want you to succeed, Mr President, but not at the expense of my hard earned money, my freedom or my rights as an American citizen.
