Here are some very scary quotes from previous speaking engagements that Barry’s new Supreme Court Nominee, Sonia Sotomayor, has made recently. They all come from a New York Times piece that they did about 2 weeks ago.

“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” said Judge Sotomayor

Could you imagine if a “white male” said something along the lines of : A white male , with the richness of his experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a “Latina woman”?! What would the mainstream media say about that? They would be destroying the racist “white male” and he would probably be arrested. Where is the outrage about statements like this? Just because she’s a “Latina woman” does not give her the right to make outrageous statements like this. But, I’m sure this will be glossed over just like any other offensive statement the looney lefties make.

Here’s another beauty:

This month, for example, a video surfaced of Judge Sotomayor asserting in 2005 that a “court of appeals is where policy is made.” She then immediately adds: “And I know — I know this is on tape, and I should never say that because we don’t make law. I know. O.K. I know. I’m not promoting it. I’m not advocating it. I’m — you know.”

So, let me get this straight. This Court of Appeals Judge thinks that her job and other Judges’ job is to make policy from the bench? What happened to upholding the law? This is amazing that it’s even on tape. It just shows how arrogant these leftists really are. I don’t want judges to legislate from the bench. Just uphold the law.

“Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences,” she said, for jurists who are women and nonwhite, “our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging.”

I go back to my original comment about “white men”. Leftists are always the first in line to scream “racism”, “offensive comments”, etc about people who they don’t agree with. But, when say something “racist” and “offensive”, it’s because they’re smarter than us, and they “get it”.

And last but not least:

Judge Sotomayor questioned whether achieving impartiality “is possible in all, or even, in most, cases.” She added, “And I wonder whether by ignoring our differences as women or men of color we do a disservice both to the law and society.”

Right. We as a country love having judges that have made up their minds before hearing a case, since she cannot be impartial. Wow. Just wow. Why even have laws then if this is what our judges think today? Why have juries? Why even have lawyers? We should just go to the “show trial” style that the left wants now and be done with it. At least their won’t be any question about where judges stand then.
