British Defense Secretary: Let’s negotiate with the Taliban and Hizbollah

Well, I kind of knew that this was coming. The British Defense Secretary, Des Brown, in an interview published today, says that it may be time to “talk” to elements of the Taliban and Hizbollah.

Britain must be willing to talk to the Taliban and other extremist groups in order to try to stabilise the world, the Defence Secretary says today.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Des Browne says that Britain and other democratic states should negotiate with organisations linked to violence - including elements of the Taliban and Hizbollah - in an attempt to prevent the long-term spread of terrorism.

“What you need to do in conflict resolution is to bring the people who believe that the answer to their political ambitions will be achieved through violence into a frame of mind that they accept that their political ambitions will be delivered by politics,” he says.

This is amazing. Besides the incredible stupidity in wanting to negotiate with terrorists, the phrase “conflict resolution” says it all. He believes that the entire western world is having a little conflict with a few groups and it’s obviously not that big of a deal. WRONG Mr. Secretary. Totally wrong. We are at war with religious maniacs who do not care about life.

This is World War 4, not some “regional” conflict that is contained in the Middle East. Look at Britain itself. They have so many problems over there in dealing with home grown Islamofascists. The British way of life is now threatened. And HE wants to negotiate.

Do you think that the Defense Secretary could make such extreme statements without the Prime Minister knowing? I don’t. I think they’re floating this idea out there to see what kind of public reaction they get. If it’s a positive one, I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of this type of talk coming from the Brits in the coming months.

There was another British Prime Minister one day that wanted to negotiate with a maniac. His name was Neville Chamberlain. You know what happened when they “negotiated” with Hitler? World War 2 happened.

The only negotiation that these people understand is by way of looking down the wrong end of a rifle.

Will the western world wake up before it’s too late? Well, I guess we’ll find out soon enough won’t we?
