Great report by Lou Dobbs on how the state of Oregon is getting tougher on giving out driver’s licenses. They are requiring a valid social security number and Oregon is also checking on legal status of the applicants.
Why is this important?
This will get illegal immigrants off the roads and stop them from getting state issued id’s. Of course, this should have been going on all along, but, baby steps.
At least someone is doing SOMETHING about this. If the federal government won’t do anything, then it is up to the states and it seems as if the states are finally getting the message and doing something about this huge illegal immigration problem.
