USMC & USAF Assist In Bangladesh

U.S. Marines, airmen and soldiers load cases of Meals, Ready to Eat into a CH-53E Sea Stallion helicopter at Barisal Airfield, Bangladesh, on Nov. 26, 2007. The amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) and embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) are conducting humanitarian assistance/disaster relief efforts in response to Bangladesh’s request for assistance after Tropical Cyclone Sidr struck their coast on Nov. 15, 2007. The storm killed over 3,000 people and has left several hundred thousand homeless.
