Gotta love Joe Lieberman - Blasts the Democratic Leadership

Joe Lieberman, who is the only normal democrat that I can think of at the moment, blasted the Democratic Party in a speech he gave at Johns Hopkins University. He is now an Independent, but, as you all well know, he was the Democrat’s Vice Presidential candidate in 2004.

“Since retaking Congress in November 2006, the top foreign policy priority of the Democratic Party has not been to expand the size of our military for the war on terror or to strengthen our democracy promotion efforts in the Middle East or to prevail in Afghanistan. It has been to pull our troops out of Iraq, to abandon the democratically elected government there, and to hand a defeat to President Bush.”

He’s so right on so many levels. The Democratic Party has given way to the crazy loony lefties of the party. Because of moveon.org, media matters, dailykos and all of the rest of the loons, the Democratic leadership is afraid of saying anything that might be positive that is going on in Iraq and the other places where we are fighting.

The Democratic leadership is pandering to these people and are afraid of losing the money that they provide and that says everything you need to know about the democrats of today. Which is basically that they are weak and have no idea about what the American people actually want.
