The United States most famous ex peanut farmer, Jimmy Carter, now says that the United States is torturing prisoners at Gitmo and Abu Ghraib. Do you want to know how he knows that we are “torturing” our prisoners? Well, he “knows it”, thats how. He doesn’t have any proof or anything like that. He just “knows it”!
The U.S. tortures prisoners in violation of international law, former President Jimmy Carter said Wednesday, adding that President Bush makes up his own definition of torture.
“Our country for the first time in my life time has abandoned the basic principle of human rights,” Carter said on CNN. “We’ve said that the Geneva Conventions do not apply to those people in Abu Ghraib prison and Guantanamo, and we’ve said we can torture prisoners and deprive them of an accusation of a crime.”
Well, Mr. Peanut Farmer, what would happen if say the FBI caught someone with knowledge of an imminent nuclear attack on Manhattan and the FBI needed information? What would you want to do? Get him a lawyer? Read him his rights? Consult the Geneva Convention handbook? Probably all of the above.
That’s all I have to say about Mr. Peanut Farmer for today.
Here’s a segment from FoxNews about the famous Peanut Farmer’s latest loony rants:
