First, after President Bush stated Tuesday that he had ordered his Generals to FINALLY start to confront Iran on their “murderous activities” in Iraq.
Iran had this to say today:
Iran on Thursday dismissed US President George W. Bush’s allegations of its interference in Iraq as “undocumented” and a sign of “political despair,” local news agencies reported.
“Bush’s statements lack any new and documented points and are a sign of indecision, lack of wisdom and political despair,” Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said, quoted by the semi-official Mehr news agency.Tuesday President Bush demanded that Iran end it’s support for the extremists in Iraq and said he had ordered military chiefs in Iraq to confront Iran’s “murderous activities.”
“The US president faces serious problem in creating propaganda for the next election and thinks he can find a way out these problems by unfounded words,” Mottaki said.
Recently it has been revealed that Iran has been shelling Northern Iraq for weeks. The Iraqi government has asked Iran to stop the shelling, but, so far Iran has not stopped.
Iraqi Kurdish officials have complained about cross-border shelling since mid-August. Cross-border skirmishes also occasionally occur as Iraq’s neighbors Turkey and Iran battle Kurdish separatist rebels operating from bases in Iraq’s mountainous northeastern region of Kurdistan.
“On the 28th of this month we summoned the Iranian ambassador and delivered a memorandum about shelling across the Iraqi border. We called at that time for Iran to immediately halt this operation because it is harming relations between the two countries,” Zebari told a news conference.
It will get more and more interesting with this terrorist nation in the near future. If their government is not toppled from within, something will have to be done about this IslamaFacist regime that has been running Iran since 1979.
