Newark’s response to the Newark murders? Tougher Gun Laws!
August 22, 2007
So, rather than enforce the existing laws for immigrants, N.J Gov. Corzine, wants tougher gun laws!
New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine’s administration will present legislation to strengthen the state’s gun laws and combat gang activities in response to Saturday’s execution-style shootings of four people in Newark.
New Jersey has some of the weakest gun laws in the country, Corzine said at a town meeting last night in South Orange. The town is adjacent to Newark, New Jersey’s largest city, where three college students were killed and one wounded last weekend in a schoolyard. Two suspects are in police custody.
However, N.J ALREADY has some of the tougher gun laws in the nation.
Except that New Jersey has among the toughest gun laws in the nation already. It would appear that Governor Corzine is either deliberately misleading the public as to the nature of the Garden State’s gun laws, or he’s about as aware of his state’s existing gun laws as he is about its laws regarding speeding on public roads, and seat belt usage.
It seems rather than try and prevent illegal immigrants in Newark, which as our readers know is a sanctuary city, from committing crimes they would just rather “toughen the gun laws”. Law abiding citizens have to be so proud of their New Jersey mayor and governor. We have to remember at least one of the animals that committed these crimes was an illegal immigrant who was arrested several times in the last year, including charges of raping a 5 year old child! Newark New Jersey’s policy of not asking about your immigration status directly lead to these murders. If the city was able to tell I.C.E about this guy, this crime might not ever have happened! So now, rather than enforcing the laws that are on the books the mayor and governor want to make new laws that will affect law abiding citizens like you and me! They STILL will not change their policies regarding illegal immigrants in their city.
Great video to come with Glenn Beck on this issue!
