Or, as Sen. Ted Kennedy would say, “Osama Bin Barak.”
From Senator Obama’s web site we find the following statement that defies logic:
“This decision to commute the sentence of a man who compromised our national security cements the legacy of an Administration characterized by a politics of cynicism and division, one that has consistently placed itself and its ideology above the law. This is exactly the kind of politics we must change so we can begin restoring the American people’s faith in a government that puts the country’s progress ahead of the bitter partisanship of recent years.”
LibNOT.com wonders what the esteemed Presidential candidate, Mr. Obama, would have said during the Clinton Administration when so many deserving people, including 16 members of the terrorist group FALN were pardoned (1999), or the impressive list of Who’s Who of serious crime in America were pardoned during Mr. Clinton’s last day in office, January 20, 2001 (140 alone!) - the list from DOJ’s site is just astounding!
But then good friends….we have that luminary of honesty, Sandy Berger, as Mr. Obama states above when speaking of Mr. Libby, “This decision to commute the sentence of a man who compromised our national security cements the legacy of an Administration characterized by a politics of cynicism and division, one that has consistently placed itself and its ideology above the law.” My, my, one would think that he was referring to Sandy Berger, National Security Advisor to President Clinton, who was accused of unlawfully mishandling classified documents at the National Archives.
A wonderful comparison, Mr. Obama! For LibNOT.com is confident that President Clinton would never have pardoned Mr. Berger for as serious a crime as Mr. Libby’s.
Surely, we jest.
Laughable, silly, unjustifiable….but expected. Why? Because they’re LIBERALS!
