An email letter to President Bush, with a copy to Congressman Peter King (R) NY

LibNOT suspects that the President is clueless as to the anger that his (former) supporters have for the Immigration Bill.

Dear Mr. President,

I am a Viet Nam veteran, retired police officer, married for 37 years with five children that my wife and I are extremely proud of. All are Republican voters. Two of my sons are members of the US Army.

We have supported you through thick and thin, but now sir we have reached a crossroads in our support for you and the Party in regards to the Immigration Bill that you continue to support.

Our family does not, nor will we support a bill that is so costly in so many ways to our country. If this bill manages to become law with your support and that of the Republicans in both houses of Congress - we like many will stay home on election day 2008.

Congressman Peter King will be the only member to receive this family’s vote.

Sincerely,
